Prognostigram creates risk-adjusted survival curves generated from data prospectively collected by cancer registrars according to the American College of Surgeons guidelines, which are compared to the survival curves of peers matched by age, gender, and race.
The comparisons of individual hospitals against the larger pool make possible hospital benchmark comparisons and hospital quality assurance/quality improvement. Prognostigram will allow managers, cancer center directors, and other stakeholders access to benchmarking and comparative effectiveness analyses for their hospital.
